IMA 4th Middle East Conference
April 13-14, 2016 - Riyadh, KSA
Ben R. Mulling's Welcome Remarks
On behalf of IMA® (Institute of Management Accountants), I would like to welcome you to the IMA 4th Middle East Conference here in Riyadh, the premier event for accounting and finance professionals in the region.
Thanks to the efforts of our dedicated organizing committee and our partner, the Saudi Organization for Certified Public Accountants (SOCPA), this year’s conference, titled “The Techno-Finance Era: Today’s Driver of Change,” will focus on how technology is changing the course and way of doing business around the world – and what we need to do to become innovators.
In the next few days, you will have the opportunity to learn from and connect with experts on a variety of topics, including leadership, enterprise risk management, corporate governance, cyber security, performance improvement, and more.
I would encourage all of our CMA® (Certified Management Accountant) candidates to take advantage of the CMA exam preparation workshop offered on day two of the conference. Tim Douglas, CMA, past president of the IMA Riyadh Chapter, will lead a session on how to pass the exam, including sharing insights about exam preparation and test-taking strategies.
The conference schedule allows ample opportunity for you to network with peers, industry leaders, and conference speakers. I urge you to take the time to renew old acquaintances and make new contacts.
In addition, I would like to thank our conference sponsors and exhibitors. Please take a moment to visit them in the pre-function area and learn more about the leading-edge products they have to offer in areas such as technology, learning, software, and training.
Once again, welcome to the IMA Middle East Conference 2016. We look forward to bringing you a memorable conference experience.
Benjamin R. Mulling, CMA, CPA.CITP
Chair, IMA Global Board of Directors
